2011 vma's

So I really wasn't TOO impressed with the VMA's this year, but none the less I watched them. Because I do every year....what can I say I like the performances and I like to see the hideous and crazy things that the stars are wearing...like this outfit Nikki Minaj wore. It's interesting to say the least...

Or this strange getup that Lady Gaga had going on...her "alter ego" Joe Calderone...I know she is a little weird and eccentric but this one really SO weird to me...

However the night was not without it's highlights, and as a music lover I did I have my favorite performances...such as Bruno Mar's performance of Valerie by Amy Winehouse(one of my favorite Winehouse songs). This was an awesome tribute song, and he did such a great job. I LOVE Amy Winehouse. I'm sad she's gone, such a waste of a beautiful talent.

Bust I must say that my favorite performance of the night was none other than Beyonce's performance of Love on Top. Man can this girl perform. I think that she is such a talented performer and her performance of the single was nothing short of amazing. Her vocals were killer!! Not to mention I just thought it was sweet that she announced her pregnancy at the end of her performance by unbuttoning her jacket and rubbing her cute little baby bump! Now I know that there are TONS of pregnant women out there (and congratulations to any of you reading!!) but I just thought it was a sweet gesture after singing her heart out about love. Because if you're happy and in love why not sing your heart out and acknowledge the beautiful love growing inside of you!? Anyway...if any of you missed it seriously check it out HERE. It was very touching...made me tear up a little!!

Oh and PS--props to Kanye for not being a giant a-hole this year. You do have manners. Way to go.

Some of my current favorites!

So I wanted to share some of the things I'm currently loving! Some of you might laugh at this first one...but I'm SERIOUSLY addicted. I think I have a problem....but the first part of recovery is admitting you have a problem!

JERSYLICIOUS!! Oh my gosh this show is like a train wreck! You just can't look away. I will say though these girls have some serious style. I mean it's definitely not MY personal style...but I love that they can rock their look and own it! Not to mention they can seriously throw down in a pair of 6'' stilettos!



Second thing I'm LOVING is feathers. I know some people are loving them. Some people hate them. And some people are just seriously over them. Me? Still loving them! I love them in my hair but I really LOVE my custom made feather earrings that are ABSOLUTELY stunning. I bought mine here from a lady named Anne who puts her heart and soul into these beautiful creations...I cannot get enough of these and I get SO many compliments whenever I wear them out. They are definitely a head turner if you're looking for something different.



I'm also really loving Urban Decay cosmetics at the moment. Urban Decay has some amazing makeup. I love that their eyeshadow is so pigmented and beautiful. They are very shimmery and can tend to have some fall out, but that doesn't really bother me since I usually apply my eyeshadow before my foundation to avoid things like that! I'm really loving the Naked palette. It's really popular at the moment, but if you can find it grab it!! It's absolutely gorgeous for everyday looks!

The palette comes with a sample of their primer potion, which is also AWESOME! You apply it before you apply your eyeshadow and it seriously keeps your eyeshadow on ALL DAY LONG!! Without creasing or anything. I LOVE this stuff! It's very comparable to the Two Faced shadow insurance, and costs just as much...but I'm a sucker for packaging and Urban Decay has very cute packaging for all of their products!



Nars blush is another one among the favorites. I am loving the color called Orgasm which is a peachy pink color with a little shimmer. This color is a must have for all skin tones. I really looks great on everyone. I also have the Nars lip-gloss in Orgasm as well which I really love!



And last but not least I'm really loving this hot NEON pink finger nail polish from China Glaze. I'm usually strickly and OPI kind of gal...however China Glaze has some awesome colors so I cracked and decided to try them out. I must say I'm in love with this color. I currently have it on my toes and I love it SO much!

Who doesn't want this awesome hair?! I have to say this is the easiest, most fun hair style I've done in awhile so I just have to share! I LOVE the pin up style with a modern twist so when I saw THIS video I just had to try it out!! Not only is this a super awesome style, but it's great for keeping your hair out of your face!

Well isn't that just fitting!?

Fitting for a first post right? What can I say I'm a shoe lover! I seriously need these Steve Madden leopard print booties in my life!! These babies are just GORG!! I have to say I've been eying these lovelies for about 6 months now and I may just have to bite the bullet and spend the $149 to ad these to my shoe collection...

Hello my lovelies!

Welcome to my NEW blog! For awhile now I've been wanting to start a blog where I could share my love for fashion, make-up, and basically just everything and anything I feel like talking about! So let my start by introducing myself. I'm Lexi, a 20-something year old fashion student who still doesn't know exactly what I want to be when I grow up! Currently I work as a nail technician based out of my home. I LOVE what I do. I love that I get to socialize on a daily basis, and build great personal relationships with people.

The last 5 years of my life have been spent with my amazing partner! We got married about 3.5 years ago, and love our lives together. We have been through SO much, and he is such an important part of my life and I couldn't imagine life without him! Seriously what a great guy :) Together we have our two little fur babies Lily and Harlow; the light of our lives for real! These are honest to goodness the worlds most spoiled dogs! I'm sure you'll hear more about them in posts to come.
