Paris and my new friend Louis Vuitton!

Hello Lovelies!!

Sorry I've been so quiet for awhile. My hubs and I have been busy traveling for the last three weeks!!  Since we are getting ready to move from the UK back to the good ol' U.S. of A we decided to do some pretty intense and go out with a bang!  First stop was Paris for Memorial Day Weekend, which was also my birthday weekend this year!  We has SUCH an awesome time and if you want to read about it I've written more extensive post (with lots of pictures!) here on my personal blog.  So feel free to check it out if you are interested!

Anyway...for the LONGEST time I've told Jeremy that if we ever got the chance to go to Paris I wanted to get a Louis Vuitton bag.  Since Louis Vuitton originated in Paris I figure that it would only be fitting to get my first one from there...and since it was my birthday it was only even more appropriate that I got to splurge on myself a little bit! *Side Note-- this is not a typical everyday purchase for me.  I have been saving for it since it was something I knew that I wanted!  These types of things are "forever" pieces in my collection. Trust me I'm all for bargain shopping, but I do have my splurge items I love.*  I already had an idea of what I wanted, but I could not resist wandering around the 3 story Louis Vuitton store for an hour or so!  It was SO big...and everything in there was just gorgeous.  I finally decided on the Galliera PM in the Damier Azur, which is the gorgeous checkered white and blue pattern.  I LOVE this pattern, especially for a spring/summer bag.  I also chose it because it's definitely one of Louis Vuitton's more recognizable patterns, but it's one you don't see as much as the Damier Eben or the classic Monogram prints.  It's also one of the prints that isn't replicated in "fakes" as often so you don't see many replicas.  The downside to this pattern is that it's slightly harder to keep clean, and if your not careful you can get some color transfer if it rubs against dark clothing or brand new jeans!  Luckily this bag hits me just right, so I don't think I'll have to worry much about it rubbing against my jeans.  I have only use it once so far, but I'm to scared to use it here since I don't want to get caught in the rain with it!  Silly I know.  But that's me!  You better believe I'll be sporting it all summer in New Mexico though. It's a piece in my collection that I'm really excited about...not gonna lie, I already have my next bag picked out.  I might be in trouble!

Here is my outfit that I first paired my bag with with the first time I took it out!  I just had a fresh pedi that day too (the color is OPI's Blue my Mind)!!
